Assistant General Manager

£33,000 + Tronc (OTE £40,000)

I’m looking for a passionate and driven Assistant General Manager to join an award-winning restaurant in the heart of Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to be second in command to the General Manager and play a key role in leading one of the city’s most exciting dining destinations. Known for a creative take on modern and traditional flavours, all made using the best local ingredients.

Role:
- Leading service on busy shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between front and back of house
- Training, motivating, and developing the team to deliver warm, efficient, and knowledgeable service
- Managing bookings, walk-ins, and table turns to maximise covers while maintaining great guest experiences
- Stock control and ordering, particularly of fresh ingredients, wines, and key supplies
- Maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with regulations and best practices
- Handling guest feedback professionally and positively, turning issues into opportunities to impress
- Supporting the General Manager with rota planning, team development, and performance reviews
Experience:
- Someone with experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a quality restaurant
- A natural leader who’s hands-on, calm under pressure, and great with people
- Someone who’s as passionate about delivering an amazing guest experience as they are about supporting and developing the team
